New Moon in Pisces
13 March 2021, 10h21 GMT
GENERAL THEMES & ENERGIES

ELEMENT:
Mutable Water = This combination encourages us to be open to the flow of emotions, intuition and imagination that are available to us, to open up emotionally to others and to the mysteries of the cosmos, for the veil will be thin and our ability to connect with other dimensions, and with otherworldly states of conscious or creativity, will be heightened. Going with the flow, and using a light touch, are the best ways to handle stress and difficulties now.
FEEL:
Magical, romantic, ethereal = With its proximity to dreamy Neptune and bewitching Venus, the Pisces New Moon radiates feminine, yin energy. Mutable water is fluid and clear – it does not initiate but instead yields and responds to whatever is presented, proposed or offerred to it. This is about divine feminine energy at its most mysterious – as enchanting and alluring as a mermaid, and as intuitive as the High Priestess, but without the fishy or flaky undercurrents.
This is about the Law of Attraction – on steroids – thanks to the involvement of magnetic Pluto. In fact, this two week waxing lunar cycle really does hold the potential for those who are very focused and pure in their intentions, to attract life-changing shifts and miraculous happenstances their way.
KEY PLANETS:

— VENUS + NEPTUNE IN PISCES = This combination of planets, which will be travelling very close to the luminaries at the Pisces New Moon, should produce an upswing in both psychic activity and creativity due to Neptune’s ability to dissolve barriers to other dimensions.
With Venus exalted in ethereal Pisces, there’s a real emphasis on spiritual forms of love and divinely inspired art. High Heart activations and psychic connections with spirit entities are also a distinct possibility. Combined with the energies of the Sun and Moon, we can expect an increase in empathy, compassion & unconditional love, as well as a dissolving of heartwalls , ego defences and a desire to open up emotionally. (See more on relationships below)
— PLUTO IN CAPRICORN = Both the Sun and Moon will be making a sextile to transformative Pluto in Capricorn, leading to major shifts or alchemical transmutations relating to heart-mind integration, self-empowerment (saying no to manipulation, abuse or control) as well as releasing anything dark that may have a psychological hold over you, such as debts, addictions or paralysing phobias or compulsions (think the Devil in the tarot).
This is also very potent physical/sexual energy (think kundalini) that can help to bring about major physical healing and dramatic psychological turnarounds. This is also about second chances and phoenix-like resurrections from near-death or nigredo-like states, whether literally or figuratively.
RELATIONSHIPS, MONEY & CREATIVITY DURING THE NEXT TWO WEEKS:

— SUN & VENUS CONJUNCTION VIA NEPTUNE: As I mentioned in my Virgo Full Moon forecast last month, the Sun and Venus in Pisces have slowly been edging towards each other, ready for their conjunction on March the 26th. Helping to bring them together is Neptune, who will be playing the go-between, both before and after the Pisces New Moon.
As a result, there is likely to be a major upswing in levels of compassion, empathy and romantic feelings at the Pisces New Moon and during the two weeks that follow. There may also be a strong desire to open up and connect with others. Telepathic connections between loved ones is likely to be especially pronounced. In fact, I think we could see a lot of soulmate unions/reunions or contacts occurring in the weeks following these aspects.
With all this Neptune/Pisces energy in play, there’s a distinctly otherworldy and magical feel to this particular cosmic union. It almost feels destined or ‘meant to be’ in that star-crossed lovers kind of way… As a result, I think we can expect a strong focus on spiritual unions and soul uplevelling (unselfish love = agape, charity as per Corinthians) affected via high heart activations that bring about forgiveness, healing and reconciliations over the next two weeks of this waxing moon cycle.
Artists and psychics could also find this period very inspiring – the flow of ideas and channelled messages will be very strong, so have your notebooks/recording devices ready! Meditation sessions and dreams may also be especially vivid. It’s possible that some of you could also experience a strong calling to serve humanity or the planet in an unselfish and meaningful way.
When it comes to money, miraculous windfalls or serendipitous job offers are a strong possibility. The key thing is allow matters to unfold naturally without forcing anything and to have faith that all your needs will be met. Prayers and requests for angelic assistance will carry extra power, so be sure to be as specific as you can about what you need help with, and as always, try to cultivate an open and grateful heart. Be open to receive is absolutely key – think of this divine feminine energy as being like a cup – one that is half full – and about to overflow with blessings.
Moon Signs
Use the chart below to find out which area of your life (astrological house) the Pisces New Moon will activate. For the most accurate results, choose the sign of your Ascendant.

Wheel of Fortune: Zodiacal Degree & Face
LUNAR degree: Sabian SYmBol
The Sabian symbol is a series of messages channelled by the medium, Elsie Wheeler, and interpreted by the astrologer, Marc Edmund Jones, during the course of one day in 1925. They give a set of symbols, word associations and images for each of the 360 degrees of the tropical zodiac. The duo believed that they had managed to tap into what Jones called ‘ancient mind matrix’ of the Sabian Brotherhood of ancient Mesopotamia – an occult sect from the city of Harran that was keen to preserve the original Chaldean traditions, centered around moon worship (the name Chaldean literally means ‘moon worshippers’), which underpinned the very earliest beginnings of astrology. This included talismanic or sympathetic magic, which Michael Baigent describes as “the magic whereby a deity’s power is attracted or coerced down to be concentrated into a physical object” using resonant symbols, metals, colours and numbers. We see this continued in texts such as the Picatrix – and later in the natural magic of Marsilio Ficino.

When combined with the revelatory influence of truthful Pluto, which tends to uncover what is hidden; and the influence of Neptune and Venus on the Pisces-ruled New Moon, I think this Sabian symbol could coincide with heart openings, as well as heart-felt apologies and emotional confessions as psychological boundaries and inhibitions dissolve and secret feelings come pouring out.
I think it also points to the gift of lockdown – which although trying on multiple fronts – has turned many people into ‘islands’, thereby forcing them to go inwards – and in turn, to discover the pleasure of their own company and become more psychologically robust and self-reliant. Rather rerendipitously, I came across a lecture by the Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh, about loneliness, and in it, he states that:
Home is a place where loneliness disappears. Where is home? The Buddha says it very clearly: Home is in us - and there is an island that you have to go back to - the island of Self - and this a practice - not a theory.
It is from this place that you feel truly at home: warm, comfortable, safe and fulfilled, as opposed to the illusion, perpetuated by our society, that success, connection and other externals, are going to make us happy.
Interestingly, his words are reiterated by Near Death Experiencer, Jenny Sommers, who in the movie ‘Afterlife‘ (you can watch the movie using this link for free), says that her ND experience helped her to understand that the true source of our happiness and fulfillment lies in ‘plugging into’ our own connection to universal source energy, rather than chasing after externals. And that once we remember this, and ‘plug back in’, our cup runs over…
A beautiful message that resonates so strongly with the energy of tomorrow’s Venus-Neptune conjunction, which should help us to tune into the frequency of the high heart, as represented by the Ace of Cups in the tarot, which many people interpret as the grail cup of Archangel Gabriel.
LUNAR FACE: FIFTH DEMI-DECAN OF PISCES

Rather than use the decans, which divide each zodiac sign into three sub-groups, I want to get more specific. So I will be zooming in 2X to look at what Alan Leo – known as the father of modern horoscopic astrology – called a‘ demi-decan’. As an analogy, think of it as being like the five-minute intervals we have on the face of a clock. Together with the Sabian symbol, which uses a channelled image to describe the nature of each individual zodiacal degree, I think that that this offers us a great way to get more and more specific about the ‘quality of time’ – the specific energies and themes of each two week moon phase. I think it’s far more useful and accurate than just looking at a generic zodiac sign overview that repeats almost every year.
Witnessing, Detachment, Forgiveness & Non-Judgement

In 360 degrees of wisdom, James Burgess describes the nature of this particular demi-decan as follows:
PISCES 21 – 25
All the beauty, the love and the magnificence that we witness is ours; it is legitimate, and well-deserved self-love propelled into the world and mirrored back. From this we understand that it is actually strategic to give away, because that sets up an inevitable cosmic responsibility to give back – the Cosmos itself owes a debt. Whatever we release is invested for us in Eternity as fidelity bonds. So it is good to deal fully and finally with all matters arising. Whatever imperfections of life are thrown up, we need to deal with them to the point of our full satisfaction. It is much better to respond with love and understanding whenever we are abused – not disdainfully to excuse the culpable, but to atone for our own imperfections, which are now haunting us. We must assume that we deserve all that we get – so any difficulties that come to us are now seen as opportunities to recover previous lost ground. It is not even helpful to try to understand the whys and the wherefores – it’s our fault and our reward, unconditionally. How we see it all is simply how we see it all – reward or penalty. Just by noticing what occurs, we grow in wisdom.
