Is the Tide Turning? Mutable Aug 2026 Lunar Eclipse

Loose Ends & High Tides: Making Sense of the August Lunar Eclipse in Pisces

Aug 2026 Pisces Eclipse: Is the Tide Turning?

On 28 August, a lunar eclipse in Pisces pulls the Virgo–Pisces axis back into focus — the same axis that’s been quietly shaping our lives since this series of eclipses first began in the autumn of 2024.

If the last two years have had you wrestling with the practical and the intangible all at once — from niggly or nebulous health concerns, to tangled admin threads, to the tedious, energy-sapping paperwork you keep meaning to deal with, but also your dreams, ideals and your boundaries or expectations — then this is the eclipse to watch.

Why? Because it’s like the tide coming back in one more time before things finally settle and no further amendments can be made for the foreseeable future. In many respects, this vibe shift mirrors the recent moves that Saturn and Neptune made at the beginning of 2026 when they finally shifted from Pisces into Aries for good, after a year or so of backwards and forwards activity due to their retrograde cycles.

What makes this moment so charged is that we’re standing on a threshold between two sets of energies. Across 2026, the lunar nodes have been shifting out of earthy, watery Virgo–Pisces and into the fire and air of Leo–Aquarius — so although two soundtracks are currently playing at once, one of them is about to fade out for good. Well, until the next Saros cycle rolls around in 18–19 years’ time, anyway.

As you know, lunar eclipses have a way of bringing things to a head — creating a release, a culmination, or a loose end that finally asks to be tied off. And Pisces, tender and boundary-dissolving as it is, wants you to stop burying your head in the sand and gently attend to any details you’ve been overlooking or found hard to pin down, so you can finally close out the chapter that began in the autumn of 2024.

Whatever is constellating may also have links to the Virgo lunar eclipse we had back in March 2026 — and we all remember what an unexpected and messy one THAT turned out to be, especially from a mundane perspective, something I discussed in detail with financial astrologer Christeen Skinner on the AstroInsights podcast. In this short clip from my interview with Christeen Skinner, we unpack exactly what the Pisces eclipse is stirring up from a political and financial perspective, how it completes the Virgo–Pisces story that’s been unfolding since 2024, and what the crossover into Leo–Aquarius means for the months ahead. If you’ve been feeling that end-of-an-era pull, then this one’s for you.
