FEB & JULY 2026 ECLIPSE OVERVIEW
2026 is shaping up to be a liminal – some might say, pivotal – year from an astrology point of view, something we’ll begin to see more clearly at the February 2026 eclipses.
Not only are the nodes seguing into a fresh set of signs, beginning with a solar eclipse in Aquarius on 17 February, but the outer planets will also be moving more decisively into that active air and fire energy we talked about last spring – a move underscored by the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries on February the 20th.

All of which is likely to make 2026 eclipse season more exciting and eventful than usual.
To give you some context, this fixed fire/air energy has been steadily gathering momentum – a trend that slowly gained momentum during 2025 as many of the outer planets shifted into fire and air signs. And now, as we move into the Leo-Aquarius polarity of eclipses, the pace of events is likely to accelerate.
If you’ve been following my Astroinsights podcast, you’ll know that I’ve been talking about this zodiacal pairing since Leo season 2025 when the planets made that dramatic Merkaba/Star of David configuration between 3–6 August from the signs of Leo, Sagittarius, Aries and Aquarius.

And now, as we begin 2026 eclipse season, the tension between Leo- and Aquarius-ruled themes is likely become even more noticeable.
With so much activity building around this section of the zodiac, I’ve put together a concise but information‑rich video guide to the February and August 2026 eclipses, as part of this year’s cosmic weather coverage.
The aim is to give you a clear sense of what issues and themes these celestial events are likely to highlight, how they fit into the wider astrological picture (saros cycles/planetary aspect patterns), and why they mark the beginning of a fresh two-to-three-year cycle for the collective.
Created as a way to bring the information in my Planētica and Lunaria astrology planners alive, this video offers both astrologers and non-specialists alike a comprehensive overview of 2026’s headline eclipse events and energetic planetary patterns, providing viewers with some insights on what’s ahead from a real-world, mundane astrology perspective, as the Leo–Aquarius story starts to unfold.
